Position Overview:
As a Controls Build Electrician II, you will play a pivotal role in assembling, wiring, plumbing, and troubleshooting complex control systems. You'll collaborate with a talented team to ensure systems are built to specification, meet the highest quality standards, and are ready for seamless installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform tasks such as drilling, tapping, wiring components, and creating cutouts for enclosures.
- Assemble and manage job parts, ensuring all components are accounted for and organized.
- Interpret and update engineering drawings and communicate project changes effectively with the team.
- Assist in planning device placement, cable routing, and wiring for optimal system performance.
- Engage in debugging processes to ensure machines operate correctly.
- Prepare systems for shipment, including disassembly and labeling of components.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized workspace.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
- High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience as an electrician in the automation industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical components, wiring methods, and panel assembly techniques.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, engineering drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, UL).
- Ability to effectively use a multimeter and apply basic electrical and mathematical concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, push, and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Regularly work indoors around mechanical parts with moderate noise levels.
- Occasionally work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Travel up to 30% for project installations, including domestic and international locations.
- Proper PPE is required for all tasks.
Shift & Pay:
This is a 7am-3:30pm position with a pay range of $24 to $30 per hour.
