Position Summary:

Be a part of a dynamic team driving the future of battery electronics and energy storage solutions. Our Client specializes in designing and developing advanced batteries and electronic systems for military and commercial aerospace applications.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead the design and testing of electrical circuits, support new product development, and improve existing energy storage systems in our diverse portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take the Lead: Fully own and translate customer technical requirements into innovative, effective solutions.
  • Innovative Design: Develop complex Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) for Power Supplies, Battery Chargers, and Battery Management Systems that meet demanding specifications.
  • Transform Concepts into Reality: Simulate, create, and validate mixed-signal circuits using advanced tools like SPICE and MATLAB.
  • Drive Excellence: Ensure designs meet industry standards, such as DO-160, MIL-STD-704, and MIL-STD-461, through comprehensive qualification testing.
  • Guide Development: Lead key project milestones, including Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR) and Critical Design Reviews (CDR), aligning designs with technical, cost, and schedule goals.
  • Enhance and Elevate: Address challenges in existing products and contribute to reliable, cutting-edge solutions.
  • Hands-On Problem Solving: Utilize advanced lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, DAQ systems, and multimeters, to validate and refine designs.
  • Ensure Quality: Create detailed test plans, reports, and acceptance procedures to maintain performance and reliability standards.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with cross-functional teams to successfully transition designs from concept to production.

Requirements:

  • 7 years of hands-on experience in circuit design, focusing on power electronics such as AC/DC and DC/DC converters and battery chargers.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Advanced knowledge in analog and digital circuit design, including expertise in PWM control and Power MOSFET and IGBT technologies.
  • A demonstrated ability to take designs from schematics to final product testing and validation.
  • Familiarity with EMI/EMC design principles and mitigation techniques.
  • Proficiency in using lab instruments like oscilloscopes, signal generators, and digital multimeters.
  • Experience designing to meet industry standards such as DO-160 and MIL-STD-704.
  • Competence in simulation tools like MATLAB and SPICE for circuit validation and optimization.
  • (Preferred) Knowledge of embedded systems programming in C/C .
  • A strong drive for innovation, problem-solving, and a desire to grow into leadership roles.
