CNC LASER OPERATOR/PROGRAMMER
LOCATION: Lake Mary
HOURS:6AM to 2:30 PM
PAY: starting at $20 and up depend on experience
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Convert 2d drawings provided by Engineering depart to programs that machine tools can understand to produce parts.
- Programmer will be responsible to meet and exceed standards set my estimating department while utilizing equipment to its fullest capabilities
- Validating that the program processes through the machine tool with desired quality and safety to equipment.
- Read blueprints to determine characteristics required to program.
- Maintains a safe, clean and orderly work area in compliance with facility housekeeping policies. (6S Standards)
- Wears required safety equipment and follows the equipmentsafe operation procedures.
- Developing machine tool programs from provided files to run on the designated machine tools.
- Machine tools are: Laser Press, Brake & Punch Press.
- Monitors the calibration of the equipment they use within their department.
- Has the ability to check pasts utilizing calipers, micrometers and height gages.
- Verifying the existence or need for the tooling associated with running the parts as a result of the program.
- Assist the Cell Leader with the introduction of Continuous Improvement ideas.
