Position Title: HVAC Sales Consultant
Location: Schenectady, NY
Position Overview:
As an HVAC Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for selling HVAC equipment and systems to residential and light commercial customers. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will assess customers' needs through thorough on-site evaluations, recommend tailored HVAC solutions, and manage the sales process from proposal to final sale. This role also involves post-sale follow-up to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets.
- Proactively generate sales leads to expand customer base.
- Provide expert advice to both new and existing customers on HVAC systems, equipment, parts, and services.
- Design and develop custom HVAC solutions based on customers' needs, including system layout and equipment selection.
- Prepare and present accurate sales proposals in alignment with company pricing guidelines.
- Follow up post-sale to ensure customer satisfaction and that all contractual obligations are met.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including field technicians and office staff, to deliver exceptional service to customers.
- Work closely with assigned Field Service Technicians to ensure smooth service delivery and resolution of any customer concerns.
- Demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills to build lasting relationships with clients.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of HVAC sales and/or service experience; in-home sales experience is highly preferred.
- Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred, but significant sales experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Proven customer service and negotiation skills with a focus on relationship-building.
- Valid New York State Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
