Summary
We are seeking a Quality Technician to join our team as we lead the Hydrogen Revolution. Our mission is to provide affordable and reliable green hydrogen energy for a sustainable future. As a Quality Technician, you will help clients reduce their environmental footprint by supporting the quality of hydrogen fuel cells, dispensing units, and storage, compression, and flow systems. Your role is crucial in driving product quality improvements and minimizing manufacturing cycle time while ensuring the highest quality of products.
Afternoon Activities will include
- Inspect and approve incoming materials, confirming specifications and conducting visual and measurement tests.
- Use measuring instruments like micrometers, gauges, and calipers to inspect various units.
- Make product acceptance decisions based on documentation and workmanship criteria.
- Document inspection activities and maintain inspection records.
- Interpret and utilize quality policies, procedures, and blueprints.
- Complete First Article Inspection (FAI) and ensure compliance with requirements.
- Plan and perform internal process audits.
- Support the preparation of operational procedures in accordance with ISO 9001, 2015/IATF 16949.
- Assist with generating and submitting Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) packages.
- Perform dimensional inspections, capability studies, Gauge R&R studies, and audits.
- Participate in corrective action teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain transactions related to inspection and nonconforming processes.
- Participate in quality improvement projects.
Requirements
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T).
- Capable of performing gage studies.
- Basic knowledge of ISO 9001, 2015/IATF 16949, and ISO 14001.
- Understanding of 5S discipline and lean six sigma preferred.
- Able to maintain confidentiality on products, services, and processes.
- Familiarity with AS9102, First Article Inspection, and Final Inspection processes.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
- Pre-employment drug test and background check is required
Education
Associate's degree in a technical field or a high school diploma/GED
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality environment
