Job Title: Forklift Operator/Material Handler
Location: Gates, NY
Summary:
Join our team as a Forklift Operator/Material Handler in a temp-to-perm opportunity at a local box-making company. In this role, you will organize stock, supply materials to workstations, and safely operate forklifts. Additionally, you'll support production and assembly tasks as needed, contributing to the seamless operation of our facility. Shift:
- 6:35 AM – 3:25 PM, Monday – Friday
Pay:
- $16.00 per hour
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- Organizing stock and maintaining an orderly inventory system.
- Supplying stock to machines and workstations efficiently.
- Loading and unloading trucks using standard and electric forklifts.
- Assisting in production and machine operation areas as required.
- Assembling containers and boxes using hand gluing techniques and hand tools.
- Performing basic math calculations and using a tape measure for accurate measurements.
- Utilizing basic computer skills to document and track tasks.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating forklifts and handling materials safely.
- Willingness to assist in production and machine operations as needed.
- Ability to perform basic math and accurately read and translate a tape measure.
- Familiarity with assembly tasks, including using hand tools for container and box assembly.
- Basic computer proficiency for inventory and task tracking.
- Team player with a positive and adaptable attitude.
