Job Title: Pouch Making Machine Operator
Location: Victor, NY
Summary:
We are seeking skilled Pouch Making Machine Operators to join our dynamic team! If you have a strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with automatic pouch-making machines, this Temp-to-Perm opportunity is perfect for you. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of automatic pouch-making machinery. Your expertise will ensure high-quality production standards and contribute to a safe and organized workplace.
Shift:
- Day Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday
Pay:
- $18.00 - $23.00 per hour, based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up automatic flexible packaging machinery according to established procedures.
- Load materials and adjust heat, pressure, and dwell controls to meet production specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical instructions for machine setup and production methods.
- Monitor product quality and make real-time adjustments as needed.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor machine repairs; escalate major repairs to the appropriate team.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and clean workspace for all assigned machines.
- Collaborate with Quality Control to ensure products meet company standards.
- Keep accurate records of material usage, production outputs, and scrap, and submit reports to management daily.
- Assist and cross-train with team members to maintain efficient operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in pouch-making or closely related manufacturing machinery required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments.
- Familiarity with factory environments and production processes.
- Proactive and self-sufficient work ethic.
Temp-to-Perm Opportunity:
