Nesco Resource is currently sourcing for Inspector/ Packers for our client in Chesterfield, MI. This is a 1st shift contract to hire position.
1st shift: 7am-3pm
Pay rate: $16.50
Job Summary:
To Perform Loading, Unloading, Inspection, Packaging, Pad Printing, and Hot Stamping for production line or area; according to appropriate work instructions.
Responsibilities:
Perform Operator duty's on production line(s) according to appropriate Work instructions. Continuously monitor, and Communication with Leader on the Quality and counts on incoming and outgoing product. Maintain established production rates.
Communicate the activities of the workers within the assigned area(s). Demonstrate proper work methods for all jobs within the assigned area. Assure the proper documentation of production records and charting.
Report potential hazards safety violations and accidents to Supervisor. Report malfunctioning equipment to Supervisor and/or maintenance. Maintain good housekeeping in assigned area to maintain a clean, safe work area. Relieve associates as necessary. Operate hand trucks to assist the proper movement of materials in the assigned area. Perform cycle counts and physical inventories as required.
Work with supervision, Engineering, QC, Warehouse and others in problem-solving efforts and in continuously improving methods. Report potential problems, shortages, etc., to Leader/Supervisor as soon as possible. Assist in providing temporary support or back-up to production or related roles as necessary.
Perform all other duties as assigned by Leader/Supervisor related to, or consistent with, implied responsibilities.
Maintain good housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe work area.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent. Good mathematics, reading, and writing skills required to read and complete production reports.
Experience:
Prefer 3 months experience working on Production lines. Understand paint defects.
Skills and Characteristics:
Willingness to learn in team oriented work environment; and participate in continuous systems improvements is necessary. Ability to perform all jobs in assigned area.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
Regular work environment involves continuous exposure to low levels of fumes. Physical demands require infrequent movement of materials weighing up to 500 lb. and frequently lifting materials up to 65 lb. May require the use of a respirator for applicable products and processes.
