Nesco Resource is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join a well-established client in Houston, TX on a direct-hire basis. This role is ideal for a seasoned tax professional with a strong background in corporate tax compliance, planning, and client relations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage tax engagements to ensure compliance and deadlines are met.
  • Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
  • Handle current and deferred tax provisions (ASC 740) and year-end/quarterly estimates for tax planning.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Oversee engagement planning, delegation, and productivity goals.
  • Manage engagement economics, including billing and profitability.
  • Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to team members.
  • Support the growth and development of the firm’s team.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of public accounting experience, with expertise in corporate and partnership taxation.
  • Hands-on tax compliance experience at a Regional or National accounting firm.
  • Proficiency in tax provision processes, including software like ProSystem fx, CCH, RIA, and BNA.
  • Active CPA license (required).
  • Bachelor's in Accounting or related field (Advanced degree preferred).
  • Strong analytical, project management, and leadership skills.
