Nesco Resource is searching for fabricator associates for our long-term client in Rochester Hills. This shift is from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, and starts at $18.50/hour. The fabricator fabricates rubber & hoses; picks, packs, and ships to customers in an accurate and timely manner; efficiently and safely transports, sorts, and stocks materials, and works with machines available to cut and fabricate final custom products.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehicles to accomplish task including but not limited to hand dolly, forklift, and/or pallet jack.
- Fabricates rubber into strips, rolls, sheets, gaskets, etc. Hand cutting is involved. Using 3-4 different machines for cutting based on job specifications.
- Ability to learn the 3-4 different machines and what can be fabricated on each one
- Fabricates hose assemblies (Teflon, rubber, metal, etc.) using our hose crimping machines and completes pressure testing.
- Completes basic blue print reading.
- Performs quality inspections on incoming and outgoing materials and products.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined inventory procedures.
- Picks (pulling material), packs (packaging or palletize), and ships products per job instructions.
- Assist in physical inventory counts annually
- Maintains a safe, clean working environment.
- Participates in quality improvement efforts.
- Demonstrates teamwork and a positive attitude consistently.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to read a tape measure and understand measurements
- Familiarity with fraction and decimal formats from 1/32" to 2"
- One to two years related experience or equivalent (preferred)
- Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Attention to detail
- Ability to read BASIC blue prints
- Familiarity with basic shop tools
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Forklift experience/certification preferred
