Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Work with warehouse personnel to coordinate the unloading of incoming materials to designated areas including inspections of trailers and incoming materials for contamination or damage.
- Receive all materials by opening, inspecting, and counting for 100% accuracy.
- Effectively communicate with trucking personnel, warehouse, and all departments throughout the plant to maintain a good and effective working environment.
- Identifies, stages, and stores all packaging materials in designated areas.
- Keep accurate inventory of packaging supplies; alert Purchasing of all packaging supply needs.
- Receives, stores and maintains pallets at acceptable control levels.
- Maintains a clean, hazard free work environment at all times.
- Performs other duties as directed by the Plant Office Manager.
- Be able to perform receiving functions in AS400.
- Other duties as assigned.
Product Safety:
- Complies with all procedures
- Reports any food safety problems to a member of management
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment, prefer some rail load/unload
- Work either 8 or 12-hour shifts with the ability to work evenings and weekends
- Must have the ability to work at a fast and safe pace and be organized
- Previous forklift experience preferred
- Service-oriented with good computer skills
- Flexibility in schedule for OT to meet shipment arrivals
