- Perform operations necessary to maintain, install, construct, remove, rebuild, and repair equipment.
- Install, rebuild, and repair production equipment and facilities.
- Perform preventive maintenance duties.
- Maintain necessary logs and records
- Make and repair parts for equipment to the accuracy required.
- Provide active input to continuous process and equipment improvement
- Make minor repairs and adjustments to machines, gauges, and equipment
- Disassemble, repair and reassemble equipment and fixtures
- Provide accurate documentation of maintenance shop operations
- Maintain machine tools and equipment.
- Actively participate in training of others and aid in evaluations.
- Maintain clean and organized work area.
- Understanding of basic math.
- Setup or machine maintenance experience required.
- Efficiently operate lathes, surface grinder, milling machine, honing machine, lapping machine, drill press, and accessory equipment.
- Basic understanding of steels used by Keystone.
- Reading accurately and interpret blueprints for calculation.
- Use measuring equipment: micrometer, calipers, tape measures, dial indicators, telescoping gages, gage blocks, etc.Demonstrate mechanical ability.
- Physical surroundings/hazards (lighting, heat, noise, chemical fumes, etc.):
- Types of machines / Lathes, surface grinder, milling machine, honing machine, lapping machine, drill press, brake press, hand and horizontal bandsaw, cut off saw, and accessory equipment
- Heaviest weight lifted while sitting or standing in one place weighs 70lbs. Object’s name: Vari-drive motor
Education Requirements:High school diploma or GED – during their interview they will have to do a math based quiz that has division and multiplication with decimals, they are not allowed to use a calculator. (must be able to multiply with a decimal.
**Must be able to understand and talk English – ALL interviews are conducted in English and they only have trainers that speak English.
Dress Code:Steel toed shoes are required, long pants, t shirt, no jewelry, long hair must be pulled back

*** All training is done on 1st shift, training time may vary depending on the job and how fast a candidate catches on to the job, typically it is 1-3 weeks for Furnace Operators and 1-4 weeks for Machine Operators. Once they are moved to 2nd or 3rd shift they get SD of $0.75.
