What This Position Entails
This role is essential to the continued success and evolution of an industry-leading software platform. You will focus on back-end development for an extensible clinical data interoperability platform, implementing and enhancing interfaces that enable seamless access to medical data. Additionally, you will provide testing, troubleshooting, and production support for these systems.
This position also includes opportunities to contribute to front-end research and architecture decisions. You'll analyze and provide recommendations for UI development practices, define standards, and guide the team in adopting new approaches.
You'll collaborate across teams to identify when efforts intersect product boundaries and ensure solutions add value across the enterprise.
What You'll Be Doing
- Build scalable solutions and infrastructure for data integration.
- Participate in technical design processes and conduct code reviews.
- Create components and interfaces for querying and retrieving healthcare data.
- Develop integration solutions between EHR platforms, healthcare facilities, state-run HIEs, and insurance providers.
- Implement enrichment, transformation, and HL7 integration components.
- Mentor and train team members on development patterns and technologies.
- Bring innovation to the team, offering ideas to enhance collaboration and growth.
- Prototype new technologies and evaluate architectural approaches.
- Help establish best practices and standards for development projects.
- Collaborate with business teams to align software development efforts with organizational goals.
What We Need
- 10 years of experience developing high-quality software.
- Advanced knowledge of Java, Python, MySQL, SOAP, RESTful Web Services, and AWS.
- Familiarity with healthcare standards such as HL7, FHIR, and IHE.
- Strong understanding of integrating software systems and microservices design patterns.
- Experience with security standards like mTLS, SAML, OAuth 2.0, and JWT.
- Proficiency in debugging, technical design, and problem-solving.
- Excellent collaborative skills, with strong verbal and written communication.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to existing ones.
