Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance Technician ensures that products meet quality standards, including reliability, usability, and performance, in accordance with ISO standards and customer specifications. This involves inspecting and testing products during production to ensure adherence to specifications.
Essential Functions:
- Read and interpret production instructions, engineering designs, and documentation.
- Use Precision Measuring Instruments (PMI) like calipers, micrometers, and CMM.
- Lead calibration and measurement device training, non-conformance evaluation, and inspections.
- Ensure products meet specifications and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate records for inspections, rework, and waste.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain to resolve quality issues.
- Support PPAPs, First Article Inspections, and work instruction creation.
- Assist with internal and supplier audits.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of ISO standards and audits.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented with expertise in quality assurance tools and inspection equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
- Ability to pass a pre employment screening
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent); technical certification in quality assurance preferred.
- 3 years of quality assurance experience, including inspection, calibration, and documentation.
