Summary

Join our team as a Quality Assurance Technician and play a critical role in ensuring the quality of precision-machined parts in a dynamic machine shop environment. In this role, you will utilize your blueprint reading skills and experience with hand inspection tools to perform detailed inspections and maintain product integrity. While prior quality assurance experience is not required, familiarity with machine shop operations is essential. Shift

  • Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Pay

  • $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience

Core Duties & Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints to verify part dimensions and specifications.
  • Use hand inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to perform detailed inspections of machined parts.
  • Inspect parts at various stages of the production process to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Work closely with machinists and production staff to address and resolve quality concerns.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results and communicate findings to supervisors.
  • Assist in identifying and troubleshooting potential quality issues to prevent defects.
  • Ensure the work area is clean and organized to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
  • Comply with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support quality assurance and production goals.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Machine shop experience is required; prior quality assurance experience is not necessary.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Hands-on experience using hand inspection tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Positive attitude, teamwork skills, and clear communication abilities.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift parts as needed (up to 50 pounds).
