This entry level management position is responsible for learning all aspects of fleet operations. This position will work with an experienced supervisor to gain the necessary training and knowledge to prepare them for success within fleet operations. The associate will be involved in daily duties surrounding the dispatch operations of fleet trucks including; coordinating with drivers covering unassigned loads monitoring loads for on time delivery manage driver safety and handling any problems that occur outside normal office hours. This position may work within varies departments within transportation including load planning shuttle regional operations to grasp an overall picture of the operation. You will also assume the position of weekend night daytime dispatch and other duties as the need arises.
REQUIREMENTS:
Be able to work a varying work schedule.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
6 months of long-haul dispatch experience required. Knowledge of DOT regulations a plus.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Requires basic computer skills such as e-mail excel word.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Good verbal and written communication skills.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Motivated self-starter who has the desire to learn and the ability to lead and motivate others. TRAVEL: None
Looking for people with 6 months long haul dispatch experience, not customer service experience in the transportation field. Must have recent, relevant experience.
