Our client, one of the largest healthcare non-profits in the state of NY, is seeking a Contract Revenue Cycle Manager to start ASAP.
 
What you need to know:

  • Contract role, 3-6 months
  • Pay rate: $49-55/hr.
  • Full-time hours, M-F, with flexibility of start/end times
  • 1-2 days/week onsite, 3-4 days/week remote
  • Must be located in either Capital District of NY, OR Syracuse Area, NY

What your role entails:
The Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Revenue Cycle Management Billing function. The role will ensure the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of all Revenue submissions, collections, reporting, and all information generated by the revenue cycle function. This position works directly with finance teams and multiple departments to ensure successful implementation and execution of company and client-specific billing requirements.

Day-to-day, you will:
  • Mentor Billing Specialist staff in the revenue billing cycle management, including billing Medicaid and MCO, among others.
  • Performs and manages entering, maintaining, and updating all information in internal and external electronic billing data base systems necessary to complete Revenue Cycle Management for the agency.
  • Responsible for review, management, and transmission of Revenue Cycle Management billings.
  • Management of remittance advices and the posting of such in the internal and external electronic billing systems.
  • Perform diligent and timely monitoring of all open accounts receivable balances; review cash receipts and EOBs to ensure that all charges are being properly billed and paid.
  • Monitor billable claims and assure follow up of denied claims including, but not limited to, correction, rebilling and collection of claims.
  • Assure that all the organizations’ billing practices comply with relevant regulations and standard, including federal (ex HIPAA) NYS DOH (ex Medicaid and related waiver programs, Medicaid managed care) and NYS insurance regulations.
  • Manage finance onboarding and training support.
  • Oversee billable service submissions for timely submission and completeness, following up with the CBO finance point of contact, MCO's, and, Medicaid as needed.
  • Review and cross-check CBO invoices in RCM software to ensure Finance completes accurate payments.
  • Review and reconcile Per Member Per Month payments.
  • Review partner capacity building expense documentation for appropriateness and completeness before submitted for payment.
  • Track and communicate monthly financial performance to internal and external stakeholders.
 
To be considered for this role, you should have:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience such as accounting or business-related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in billing and revenue cycle management
  • Medicaid and MCO RCM billing experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for all levels of management.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills to compile data for planning and reporting purposes.
  • Ability to manage multiple detailed projects simultaneously and adjust as needed.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Strong community awareness and astuteness.
