A leading client in the manufacturing industry is hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the highest standards of quality throughout the software development lifecycle. This role will involve defining and automating test procedures, monitoring every phase of development, and implementing proactive measures to guarantee an exceptional user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Testing:
- Define and automate test requirements and procedures to ensure seamless product development.
- Oversee all stages of the software development lifecycle, from design to delivery, ensuring consistent quality standards.
- Develop and execute testing strategies to guarantee product quality at every phase of development.
- Communicate findings and collaborate on establishing preventative actions in partnership with customers.
Process Improvement & Root Cause Analysis:
- Contribute to root cause analysis programs such as 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone.
- Use proactive tools like DFMEA/PFMEA to identify potential quality control issues and work with teams to implement preventive measures.
- Collaborate with the continuous improvement team to maintain quality during manufacturing efficiency improvements.
Documentation & Auditing:
- Assist in maintaining and improving quality documentation within the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Work with the quality assurance team to evaluate and enhance internal process documentation and traceability forms.
- Participate in internal and external audits of the quality management system.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in a quality assurance or related role.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and engage directly with high-value customers.
- Hands-on approach to problem-solving and experience working directly with manufacturing teams to implement and maintain quality procedures.
- Proficiency in digital process documentation and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Motivated to pursue further education and certifications in quality and inspection.
- Experience with or knowledge of ISO 9001 documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.
- Experience with ISO 9001 compliance and documentation.
- Familiarity with DFMEA/PFMEA processes.
