Job Title: Production Assistant – Blending Department

Position Overview:
We're looking for a detail-oriented Production Assistant to support our Blending Department. You'll play a key role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our products by assisting with the accurate weighing, blending, and monitoring of raw materials. If you're a team player with a strong focus on safety and quality, this is the role for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the blending area, ensuring raw materials are weighed and blended according to specifications.
  • Operate and calibrate weighing and blending equipment to maintain efficiency.
  • Record batch production details (weights, measures, batch numbers) for traceability.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for blending, ensuring safety and quality.
  • Actively listen and follow instructions from supervisors.
  • Monitor work area for cleanliness and safety, reporting any issues.
  • Identify and report discrepancies in raw material quality or blending consistency.
  • Stop production if quality issues arise and inform supervisors immediately.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to allergens, temperature extremes, noise, and potentially uncomfortable conditions.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required, including a respirator in some cases.
  • Work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Thursday (4, 10-hour shifts), with occasional Friday or weekend work. From 5:00am - 3:15pm weekly.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate a forklift.
  • Must be able to pass random drug screenings.
