Job Title: Material Handler

Shift: Training on 1st Shift with transition to 2nd Shift upon successful training completion.

Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and dedicated Material Handler to join our growing team in Kent, Ohio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely handle and transport raw materials, products, and supplies to the required locations within the warehouse or production areas.
- Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting.
- Maintain inventory control by tracking and labeling materials accurately.
- Assist with organizing storage areas and ensuring materials are properly stored to optimize space and ensure safety.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment, following all company safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment and tools to ensure proper operation.
- Prepare materials for production, assembly, or shipping.
- Assist with inventory counts and material audits.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to all safety and environmental guidelines, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as metatarsal boots or covers.
Required Qualifications:
- Must wear metatarsal boots or covers as part of the required safety protocols.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive team attitude.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to transition from 1st to 2nd shift after training.
- Basic math skills for inventory and material handling.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment.
- Prior experience in inventory management or warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and warehouse best practices.
