Digital Press Operator
Location: Cohoes, NY
Shift/Hours: 1st Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Job Overview: The digital press operator is responsible for setting up the press to print jobs correctly and maintaining smooth operation of the press during run time to ensure quality labels and packaging are produced.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Collect and verify all materials stated on the job ticket to complete the print run.
- Perform general maintenance to ensure the press is ready to run at optimal speed and performance.
- Adjust settings on computer software for press specifications and quality needs.
- Examine ink colors, repeat lengths and production items to produce accurate product.
- Perform quality checks to ensure color continuity in products, replace ink cans when necessary.
- Ensure smooth operation and timely pace of production to meet deadlines.
- Good eye for quality & good trouble shooting skills a plus.
Qualifications:
- Technical and/or mechanical experience in the printing field, a plus.
- Computer literacy with familiarity with Mac, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, preferred.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to decipher colors and follow standard work instructions.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide range of professions and personalities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to effectively read, write and speak English.
- Proficient using standard business systems, including Microsoft 365, ex. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Self-motivated, creative, innovative, persistent, and flexible.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening, including drug testing.
Range of Pay: $20.0 – $22.00 per hour
