Nesco Resource is hiring for all 3 shifts, 1st, 2nd & 3rd shift for a Flexographic Press Machine Operator in Newton, NC.
General Responsibilities : Operate the printing equipment and related auxiliary tools. Print labels that match or exceed the quality expected by the customer. Must maintain and oversee equipment to ensure that they are well maintained and in good operating conditions. This position will be heavily involved in trouble shooting day-to-day issues related to printing.
Essential Job Functions:
Operate the press in a safe manner following safety and PPO rules.
- Analyze and follow the press schedule, must plan what is needed for completion of a work order.
- Must utilize all auxiliary tools installed at the press for process control and traceability.
- Communicate and share information about experiences and troubleshooting.
- Perform corrective actions in a timely manner, any non-conform product must be identified and segregated.
- Proactive assistance to improve process, methods, equipment, and materials.
- Permanent control of the printing process.
- Responsible for quality and productivity.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Other duties as assigned.

- High School Diploma equivalent
- Demonstrated insight into mechanical and process analysis
- Must be able to see and compare colors
- Must be able to see small graphic details
- Must communicate in both verbal and written matters
- Ability to work overtime and any schedule that management deems necessary to maintain production
Preferred Qualifications:
- An associate degree in Industrial Technology or related field
- Computer skills in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Color Management.
- 5-15 years related experience and training in printing process.
- Basic knowledge of plastic films.
- Basic knowledge of solvent base and water base inks.
Physical Demand:
Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling are required.
Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force to move objects.
The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing computer and working within arm's reach.
The worker may be subject to hazards: proximity to moving forklift and stored chemicals.
