Job Title: Automation Electrician / Plumber

Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Automation Electrician / Panel Builder to join our growing team in the automation industry. This is a Direct Hire Opportunity. In this role, you will be responsible for assembly, wiring, and troubleshooting of advanced control systems, ensuring high-quality automation solutions. Shift:
- Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Some overtime possible
Pay:
- $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform assembly tasks, including drilling, tapping, wiring field components, and plumbing of pneumatic components and air drops for automated machines.
- Organize and manage job parts, ensuring all components are accounted for and stored properly.
- Interpret and update engineering drawings, communicating project changes with the team.
- Plan device placement, cable routing, and pneumatic tubing layout for optimal system performance.
- Assist in debugging processes to ensure machines function as designed.
- Prepare systems for shipment, including disassembly and labeling of components.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as an Electrician or Automation Technician in the automation industry.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong knowledge of electrical components, wiring methods, pneumatic systems, and panel assembly techniques.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and pneumatic diagrams.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, UL).
- Ability to use a multimeter and apply basic electrical and mathematical concepts.
- Experience with pipe threading equipment for pneumatic components.
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Own small hand tools for daily tasks.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, push, and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Work indoors around mechanical parts with moderate noise levels; occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% for project installations, including domestic and international locations.
- Proper PPE required for all tasks.
