Job Title: Quality Technician
Location: Rochester, NY
Summary:

Shift:
- Monday – Thursday, 3:15 PM – 1:45 AM
Pay:
- $18 an hour
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-process inspections and test verifications for quality and food packaging safety.
- Ensure QA bench-top test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
- Document, sample, and quarantine non-conforming materials.
- Maintain all sample requirements as defined by company standards.
- Operate quality testing equipment to verify product compliance.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to ensure a secure work environment.
- Collaborate with production teams to uphold manufacturing standards.
- Complete and maintain accurate records and reports related to quality assurance.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production and quality initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree preferred, especially in mathematics or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of quality processes, inspections, and testing equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Visio).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Work primarily in a manufacturing environment with exposure to:
- Required use of hearing protection, safety shoes, and vision protection.
- Ability to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 30 lbs occasionally.
