Job Title: Quality Technician

Location: Rochester, NY

Summary:

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Quality Technician and play a vital role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. In this position, you will conduct in-process inspections, operate quality testing equipment, and maintain strict documentation to uphold our commitment to excellence.

Shift:

  • Monday – Thursday, 3:15 PM – 1:45 AM

Pay:

  • $18 an hour

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-process inspections and test verifications for quality and food packaging safety.
  • Ensure QA bench-top test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
  • Document, sample, and quarantine non-conforming materials.
  • Maintain all sample requirements as defined by company standards.
  • Operate quality testing equipment to verify product compliance.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to ensure a secure work environment.
  • Collaborate with production teams to uphold manufacturing standards.
  • Complete and maintain accurate records and reports related to quality assurance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production and quality initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree preferred, especially in mathematics or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in quality assurance.
  • Strong understanding of quality processes, inspections, and testing equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Visio).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • Work primarily in a manufacturing environment with exposure to:
  • Required use of hearing protection, safety shoes, and vision protection.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 30 lbs occasionally.
