Nesco Resource is searching for a Purchasing Associate to join the team with one of our long-term clients in the Clarkston area that manufactures specialized equipment using pre-engineered aluminum profiles and industrial controls and components. The Purchasing Associate will be an integral part of the daily operations and will work closely with the Engineering and Production teams to ensure on-time delivery to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain quotes from suppliers
- Multiple quotes often need to be obtained to meet timeline and budget requirements
- Track RFQs
- Types of needs: standard parts, custom fabricated parts, specialty items, special finishes (powder coat, anodizing, etc.)
- Place orders with suppliers for parts and components
- Create purchase orders
- Communicate dates and tracking information to internal team
- Track to ensure parts are arriving on time
- Work with the production team to ensure on-time delivery to customers
- Manage order delays or damages
- Place orders for immediate parts needs for fabrication and production
- Manage supplier relationships
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
