Router Operator
Job Description
The Router Operator is required to understand the operation, general maintenance, and safety features of the hand router.
Essential Functions

- Places finished goods on the designated pallet.
- Must be able to meet and maintain acceptable production levels.
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Notifies supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
- Understands lockout-tagout safety procedure.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up.
- Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
Physical Demands

The employee must be able to stand for long periods of time. The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch; and talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift/move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
