Looking for a motivated, mechanically-inclined Maintenance Technician to join our team! The Maintenance Technician will provide support for our local production assembly facilities and will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment and machines as well as helping with building fixtures. This is a day shift position located in Livonia, MI.
Qualifications
• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting equipment/machinery and tools.
• Must already have or have the ability to obtain own tools and rolling toolbox.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Able to demonstrate skills as a well-rounded Maintenance Technician with strong mechanical aptitude.
• Must be detail oriented, a self-starter, and willing to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
• Able to accurately perform preventive maintenance on a daily basis with a sense of urgency.
• Must be willing to learn new maintenance procedures and techniques.
• Maintenance Technician must have good communication skills.
• Must have reliable attendance and ability to work overtime/weekends with short notice.
• Able to travel between local facilities and work effectively with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills
• Machining experience, welding experience, light fixture assembly and/or fabrication experience preferred.
• Experience as a fabricator with MIG welding, and/or repair and fabrication of production equipment.
• Proficient computer skills (data entry and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel).
• Skilled in the use of a forklift and scissor lift.
• General maintenance experience.
