Nesco Resource is seeking an experienced Bilingual Accountant to join a well-established client in Houston, TX on a long term contract basis . This role is perfect for a self-sufficient accounting professional with a strong background in financial statements, reconciliations, tax review, and audit requests. Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)
Schedule: 8 AM – 5 PM (Initially in-office 4 days/week, later 1 day/week for meetings)
Position Type: Direct Hire
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Controller in Texas and Colombia with financial statements, reconciliations, and audits.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing.
Review tax returns filed by external accounting firms.
Work through finance and accounting issues independently.
Utilize accounting software and ERP systems (SAP or similar).
Qualifications:
Bilingual – English & Spanish (Required)
5 years of accounting experience (Must be able to take charge with minimal training)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA is a plus but not required)
Experience in oil & gas industry preferred
Strong working knowledge of accounting software & ERP systems (SAP or similar)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Soft Skills:
Independent problem solver – minimal supervision required
Thrives in a fast-paced environment
Able to jump in and take ownership of tasks
