Nesco Resource is seeking an Account Assistant and Event Planner to support the daily operations of our client's office in Elmira, NY. If you have strong communication skills, enjoy problem-solving, and excel at multitasking, we'd love to hear from you!

SUMMARY Provides account assistance to the president, creative director, controller, account managers/planners, production, and graphic design in the day-to-day management of projects and accounts. The person assists the financial department with billing reconciliation and job management/billing. Develops the skills necessary to advance within the agency.
Responsibilities:
Provides administrative assistance to the president on day-to-day client activities, phone calls, handling mail/packages, production, and creative deadlines, etc., to ensure continued progress of client workflow.
Stays aware of client activities to provide backup when account reps or president is unavailable.
Gathers and assembles background information and analyses as needed by account manager or president in development of client estimates, etc.
Provides input in planning stages as requested by account services or production. Assists in mailings, processing final copy, agendas, conference reports, proposals, correspondence, and other materials related to account service (including billing, production quotes/purchase orders), and preparing the above for client presentations.
Manage some client newsletters.
Maintains Basecamp and Advantage, project management and agency software. Open new jobs and projects as needed.
Maintains client digital archives for all assigned accounts, detailing past work and work-inprogress, and all pertinent information needed for accurate proofreading and meeting of client standards.
Works closely with the media buyer and creative team to execute client social media ads according to plan and creative deadlines.
May proofread copy in preliminary stages, review artwork for accuracy, and printers' proofs as requested working with account services; sees that all work completes the standard agency approval process before being reviewed by clients or turned over to suppliers. May coordinate final proofreading with outside vendor.
Coordinates and prepares conference space and conference meeting needs with account executive when client meetings are on-site.
Assists with estimating and provides overall clerical support, and office support including answering phones for the agency or making sure the appropriate coverage is being handled. This includes taking care of the daily mail run and ordering supplies.
Works with the President and graphic design team on managing corporate events for key clients including annual fundraisers, annual meetings, and annual award ceremonies. Events include coordination, printed material distribution and attending the events when necessary, off-hours/evenings and one weekend.

Pay $17 per hour
20-30 hours per week
Potential to become full time permanent position
