As a Quality Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the inspection department, ensuring the quality of materials, and driving continuous improvements. Duties/Responsibilities
- Ensure the quality of products.
- Devise, improve, and review new specifications and procedures for products or processes, and training staff to use them.
- Setting the requirements for raw materials and gages from suppliers and monitoring their compliance.
- Supervising inspectors, technicians, and other staff members and providing guidance.
- Inspecting the final output, comparing it to the requirements, and approving or rejecting the final products.
- Keeping accurate documentation and performing statistical analysis.
- Gaining feedback from the clients, attending meetings, submitting reports, and assisting external auditors and inspectors.
- Direct and coordinate testing of finished and semi-finished sample specimens to determine if metallurgical, physical properties, and dimensional features meet manufacturing specifications. Review test results.
- Investigate causes of defective material and advise supervisory personnel of the production departments or sublet vendors responsible for processing defects.
- Participate in the selection of QC staff.
- Responsible for calibration and maintenance of all measuring instruments and laboratory testing equipment, and documentation.
- Assist in A2LA and ISO Certification process.
Skills/Qualifications
- 2 years' experience in leading a QC department in a metal manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing quality role.
- Experience with implementation of and maintaining ISO9001 and ISO17025 accreditations.
- Excellent communication and listening skills with strong observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with internal and external auditing.
- HS Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Will be subject to pre-employment screening.
