We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator to set up, maintain, and operate machinery. You'll ensure the continuous and efficient running of production. A great machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and adhere to all safety and quality control standards. On-the-job training is provided and a willingness to learn and improve is a must. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried on smoothly to ensure quality and to maximize efficiency and profitability. Applicants must at least be high school graduates or equivalents. Experience in manufacturing is a plus but not necessary as we will train. Welding experience is also highly desirable. Monday-Thursday 6:00 am-4:30 pm and occasional overtime is needed on Fridays. Pay per hour between $16.00 to $18.00 based on previous work experience and skills.


Responsibilities
  • Set up machines (calibration, tooling changes, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle
  • Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
  • Start and finish a brush at the beginning and end of the machine's operation
  • Feed raw material into the machine
  • Inspect parts with measuring tools
  • Troubleshoot faulty operation of machines periodically
  • Fix issues that might occur during the shift
  • Check output to ensure quality and spot any mistakes or flaws
  • Keep records of material requisition, jobs times etc.
Skills
  • MIG welding experience is highly desirable
  • Mechanical aptitude is a must.
  • Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (tape measure, caliper, micrometer etc.)
  • Understanding of production procedures
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
  • Ability to read production instructions, engineering drawings and manuals
  • Ability to follow directions specked out on production paperwork or given by supervisors

  • High school diploma or equivalent
