Fish Packaging Associate

Nesco Resource is looking for Fish Packaging Associates located in Wallkill, NY. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidates.

Shift: Monday-Friday 7AM-5PM

Pay: $18/Hour

Job Summary: We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Fish Packaging Associates to join our team. This role involves handling, processing, and packaging fresh and frozen fish products in a safe and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to work in a cold environment, and a commitment to maintaining food safety and quality standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Weigh, portion, and package fish products according to company standards and customer specifications.
• Inspect fish for freshness, quality, and adherence to safety regulations before packaging.
• Operate and maintain packaging machinery and tools safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all packages are correctly labeled with product details, weights, and expiration dates.
• Follow hygiene and safety protocols, including proper handling of raw seafood and maintaining a clean workstation.
• Assist in tracking inventory levels and reporting shortages or discrepancies.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience in food processing, seafood handling, or packaging is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work in cold and wet environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good physical stamina, including the ability to lift heavy weights and stand for long periods.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime when needed.
