Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Account Specialist to support our client’s sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating quotes, processing orders, and responding to client requests for expedites and order adjustments. You will also play a key role in driving revenue growth by fostering strong client relationships and identifying opportunities for additional products and contract manufacturing services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Field Account Managers to address client needs.

  • Build and maintain long-lasting client relationships to ensure continued business growth.

  • Generate formal quotes for customer review and follow up to secure business.

  • Maintain accurate records of all client interactions, including quotes, orders, blanket releases, change orders, expedites, shipping, and returns.

  • Develop a deep understanding of suppliers' products to upsell and cross-sell effectively.

  • Gain expertise in contract manufacturing services and explore opportunities to present them to clients.

  • Analyze open-order reports to manage stocking levels and adjust as needed.

  • Negotiate competitive pricing and terms with suppliers to maximize profitability.

  • Source and identify products based on customer requirements and requests.

  • Regularly review expedite reports and proactively communicate any potential delivery issues to clients.

  • Maintain cross-references of customer part numbers versus manufacturer part numbers.

  • Keep customer drawings/prints up-to-date and ensure the cross-reference file is updated with current revisions.

  • Participate in vendor product training sessions to stay informed about new offerings.

  • Make outbound calls and send emails to both new and existing customers to promote products and services.

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures in compliance with ISO9001 standards.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience & Education Required:

  • Associate’s degree and at least two years of related sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a similar field.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, or AS/400 is a plus.

Confidentiality:
This role involves access to confidential information related to vendor and customer relationships, organizational strategies, and company growth plans. A high level of confidentiality is required.

Management Responsibility:
This is an individual contributor role operating under the general direction of the Inside Sales Supervisor within established policies and guidelines.

Work Environment:
The majority of the time will be spent in an office environment, using a phone and personal computer. The ability to operate standard office equipment (e.g., phone, fax, computer) is required. Please note that this job description may evolve, with new duties or responsibilities assigned as needed.
