JOB DESCRIPTION
Under general supervision, perform tasks to ensure proper maintenance of all lab equipment and facilities.Perform department tasks including one or more of the following:Diagnoses, repairs, and rebuilds Surfacing, Finishing and AR Coating equipmentPerforms scheduled maintenance on laboratory equipmentDisassemble, clean, and rebuild specialized laboratory machineryPerforms online equipment repairsPerform machinery preventive maintenance activities as prescribed by the manufacturerResponsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as neededMaintain equipment maintenance recordsAssist with a variety of facility and departmental process improvement projectsTroubleshoot a wide variety of computer-controlled automation equipmentPerform building infrastructure maintenance tasks including light plumbing, painting, and general facility upkeepTwo to four years of experience in factory equipment maintenanceDemonstrated experience and familiarity with fluid power, mechanical, and thermal system experienceExperience in trouble-shooting electrical, electronic and motor control systems, including the use of electrical diagnostic equipment and ability to read system schematics and drawingsGeneral understanding of process quality control and Total Productive Maintenance practicesDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot automation control computers, PLCs and networksFamiliarity with office computer systems hardware and software, including MS OfficeExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently as well as in a team setting with a Customer-Centric ethicFamiliarity with safety and health requirements relating to maintenance activitiesAble to lift 40-50 pounds unassisted, stand up to 100% of the time, and perform physical activities requiring bending, kneeling, pushing and pullingExperience with Lockout / Tagout proceduresAbility to read and write at a level necessary to accomplish the above tasksGood manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination
