Hourly Rate- $16.00 - $17.00 2.50 Shift Premium
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
Safely set up and operate CNC machines while producing quality ceramic cores following standard operating procedures and customer-supplied specifications.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Follow documented job-specific work instructions
- Set up fixtures and safely operate CNC machines to produce quality ceramic cores
- Possess knowledge of machining functions, operation buttons and switches
- Capable of securing product and operating stops and guides for proper product alignment
- Visually inspect the product and identify defects
- Maintain required documentation and paperwork
- Produce quality ceramic cores, meeting production goals and quality requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Communicate effectively with manager, lead person, quality inspectors, engineering, and fellow operators
- Know and follow all company safety rules and regulations
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Use of precision measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to work independently
- Excellent attendance & dependability a must
- Willingness to cross-train in other company job functions is expected
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Ability to stand entire 8-hour shift (plus overtime, when required)
- Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: viewing a computer terminal; reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
