Growing, well-regarded biotech organization is seeking a Project Coordinator to join its team!
Location: Rensselaer, NY
Duration: 12 month contract, opportunity for permanent hire!
Pay: $23-25/hr.
Hours: M-F 8am-4:30pm
Summary:
Using project management techniques and experience, the Project Coordinator leads various projects to support the overall portfolios managed by the Department.
Day-to-day duties include:
- Supports project manager with leading at least one sub-project.
- Maintains and executes Project Management project plans, timelines, and agendas, in order to facilitate planning and coordination of deliverables for each assigned project.
- Utilizes basic project management techniques to develop and maintain planning tools (Spreadsheets, MS Project, Microsoft Visio etc.).
- Develops working relationships with multiple stakeholders utilizing open communication skills.
- Implements tools used by the team and is directly responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of planning files as well as project update reports for all assigned projects.
- Develops and maintains the organizational structure of shared databases; identifies and implements solutions in order to improve information sharing processes.
Education and Experience:
- Requires Bachelor's degree in a physical or biological science or business equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Action oriented and well organized.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in techniques with relevant software: MS Project, MS Visio, MS Excel & PowerPoint, etc. in addition to experience working within shared work environments (OneDrive, Sharepoint, Team, OneNote, etc.)
- Handles multiple priorities/tasks with strong time management skills.
