Job Summary: We are seeking an Order Picker to perform system and/or manual tasks in support of inbound and outbound warehouse operations. This position requires operating material handling equipment to move products within the warehouse while maintaining organization and ensuring safety.
Key Responsibilities:

Material Handling:
-
Perform physical and/or administrative tasks related to shipping, receiving, storing, counting, packaging, and distributing equipment, materials, and merchandise.

Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and other machinery safely and efficiently.

Maintain forklift equipment in accordance with company policy, including daily checklists and battery maintenance.

Warehouse Organization:

Maintain a clean and safe work environment by sweeping, mopping, picking up trash, and removing broken materials and pallets.

Conduct physical inventory counts and assist with organizing and tracking warehouse items.

Safety and Compliance:
-
Follow safety regulations and ensure safe forklift operation and use of safety harnesses.

Report damage to racking systems (e.g., upright, cross beams, decking) and maintain compliance with safety standards.

Shipping and Receiving:
-
Load and unload trucks, freight cars, conveyors, and other transport equipment using material handling devices.

Coordinate the movement of equipment, supplies, products, and materials across various departments and workstations.

Inventory Management:
-
Count, weigh, identify, and appropriately store materials, ensuring correct labeling and tagging.

Check materials against vendor invoices, bills of lading, delivery receipts, and customer orders.

Maintain records of damaged, defective items, and discrepancies in quantity and weight.

Packing and Shipping:
-
Pick, wrap, and pack products for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and sealing.

Operate machines to arrange products in containers and ensure packaging meets company standards.

Minimum Qualifications:
-
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of experience and training.
-
Previous experience operating material handling equipment (MHEO).

Reliable attendance is essential.

Good verbal communication skills for interaction with coworkers, press operators, and carriers.

Ability to meet quality and production standards.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes and safety procedures.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Typically requires 0-2 years of related experience or specialized training.

Ability to resolve routine issues and refer more complex problems to higher levels.

Must be able to work under direct supervision and follow written instructions to meet deadlines in a safe manner.
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience operating a Cherry Picker or Order Selector.

Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
-
One year of warehouse or job-related experience.
