Review work schedule, perform safety check on equipment, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations. Obtain work schedule and daily production paperwork and prepare for operations.
Oversee and provide guidance to associates to ensure safety regulations, procedures, quality standards are met including all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear; performing daily safety check of the assigned Hi-Lift / Forklift / Power jack in accordance with company policy. Remove batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries and complete vehicle inspection checklist.
Interact with drivers, check-out trailers inspect trailers and outgoing freight and seal full trailers as required. Receive and ship expedtied (UPS / FedEx) deliveries, assist will call customers at the pick-up window as required.
Assist warehouse crew with duties in emergency and non-emergency situations.
Conduct control checks on items before shipping; contact supervisor about removing items according to company policy.
Coordinate and / or load and transport items to staging areas in appropriate warehouse with Forklift / Power Jack / High-Lift.
Assist Forklift Operators in shipping preparation responsibilities, breakdown pallets, change stretch wrap and re-wrap pallets as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
