Job Title: Quality Assurance Inspector

Location: Gates, NY

Summary: Join our team as a Quality Assurance Inspector and ensure product integrity through inspections, audits, and testing. You'll perform in-process and final inspections, verify compliance with industry standards, and work closely with the Quality Manager to resolve issues. If you have experience with blueprints, GD&T, and precision measuring tools, this role is perfect for you.

Temp-to-Hire (TTH) or Direct Hire (DH) based on experience.

Pay:
$19 – 28 per hour

Shifts:
1 st : 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Flexible start at 6:00, 6:30, or 7:00 AM), Monday - Friday
2 nd : 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday – Friday

Core Duties & Responsibilities:
• Conducts and evaluates visual and product tests for defects.
• Completes and interprets inspection paperwork and blueprints, including GD&T.
• Inspects incoming jobs from subcontractors for quality assurance.
• Performs first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using various measuring equipment.
• Notifies the Quality Manager of any major quality concerns.
• Ensures measuring equipment calibration is within tolerance and timeframes.
• Assists in developing department projects and collaborating with the QA Manager.
• Provides coverage for quality assurance personnel when needed.
• Analyzes processes for cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency.
• Conducts First Article Inspections for new or modified tooling.
• Completes special projects and other assigned tasks.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
• Requires sitting, talking, hearing, and frequent use of hands.
• Occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds.
• Work environment noise level ranges from low to loud.
• Ability to solve practical and abstract problems with minimal standardization.

Qualifications:
• Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years of quality control experience.
• Experience with Sheffield or Zeiss CMM (preferred).
• Experience with measuring tools such as Gauges, Micrometers, Calipers, etc.
• GD&T experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and math skills.
• Proficiency with computers and software.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
