Set up, operate, or tend machines to coat a wide variety of products, including glassware, cloth, ceramics, metal, plastic, paper, or wood, with lacquer, silver, copper, rubber, varnish, glaze, enamel, oil, or rust-proofing materials.
Duties:
- Review work order to identify job specifications and required materials including protective coatings.
- Locate, count and check the quality of products to be powdered
- Set-up racking according to job schedule.
- Apply protective coatings to products according to job specifications.
- Review completed work to ensure parts meet customer quality requirements.
- Unload parts from racks onto pallets for transport.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Previous powder coating experience
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to accurately read a print/schematic
- Ability to follow and retain instructions
- Work independently as well as on a team.
- Familiarity with hand tools helpful
