The Designer is responsible for producing technical drawings for various systems, including pressure vessels, structural components, and piping, utilizing software such as Inventor and AutoCAD. The role involves mentoring other drafting personnel, ensuring the accuracy of drawings, and supporting the approval process for both customers and the fabrication team.
Key Duties:

Develop 3D models and extract detailed 2D drawings, ensuring all necessary fabrication details, such as weld symbols, are included.

Assist in verifying and revising designs, ensuring proper documentation management.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Provide support throughout the project lifecycle, from initial order to fabrication and delivery.

Manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining quality.

Collaborate in internal design reviews and customer discussions.

Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and better communication.

Ensure project milestones are met on time.
Required Skills and Experience:

High school diploma required, with further education in design or drafting considered an asset.

Proficiency in software tools such as Inventor, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Vault.

Expertise in creating comprehensive designs for mechanical and structural systems, including pressure vessels and piping.

Ability to interpret and apply customer specifications accurately.

Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, including ASME, AISC, and OSHA.

Demonstrated experience supporting fabrication teams with precise design details and material lists.

Competence in developing designs from conceptualization to final delivery.

Strong understanding of welding symbols and their correct usage.
