Salary: 49,920-58,000 (based on experience)
The EM Tech will be responsible for troubleshooting machinery problems and continuously monitoring electrical and mechanical devices as part of a predictive and preventive maintenance plan. This position is expected to have a significant positive impact on run-time efficiency and total plant uptime.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform all tasks in a safe manner.
  • Have a clear understanding of and strictly comply with LO/TO policy.
  • Troubleshoot and repair problems with production equipment and continuously monitor electrical and mechanical devices as part of a predictive and preventive maintenance plan.
  • Locate electrical issues by using a multimeter, amp meter, and megger.
  • Repair and/or replace defective electrical equipment.
  • Review work orders with resources as they are received, ask for clarification, and confer with the requestor for additional clarification when needed.
  • Order parts involved in repair and maintenance with assistance from the maintenance engineering team.
  • Perform daily preventive maintenance.
  • Have a good working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic devices.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical principles.
  • Perform work in servicing pumps, boilers, piping, and related equipment.
  • Assist in writing and updating standard maintenance procedures.
  • Stay informed of process changes that may affect the normal operation of the equipment.
  • Perform small installations and equipment modification projects.
  • Record all measurements during predictive and preventive maintenance activities to generate statistical charts for analysis.
  • Provide training to operations technicians in maintenance activities associated with Total Productive Maintenance practices.
  • Maintain a team effort attitude and approach, familiarize yourself with new equipment, and assist in training other technicians.
  • Have knowledge of and adhere to all departmental rules and regulations, as well as departmental procedures.
Education & Experience:
  • AS Degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience working as a maintenance technician or equivalent education in industrial maintenance preferred.
Working Conditions:
  • Job functions will be performed in and around the manufacturing facility.
