Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Location: Rochester NY
Pay: $17-18/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hardworking Warehouse Associate to join our team. This is a new role created to support the organization and consolidation of equipment received on pallets. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for breaking down cardboard boxes, sorting equipment, and ensuring each piece of equipment is properly consolidated and labeled by project. This role requires someone who is comfortable with manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Break down and dispose of cardboard boxes.
- Separate, organize, and consolidate equipment from incoming pallets.
- Ensure equipment is organized by project and labeled with the appropriate project information.
- Label consolidated pallets with green stickers indicating the owner, project number, location, and arrival date.
- Maintain an organized and efficient work area, consolidating multiple pallets into fewer, more organized pallets.
- Communicate with the shipping department to ensure space optimization and proper equipment handling.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing manual labor.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain accuracy in labeling and consolidating equipment.
- Previous warehouse or similar experience is a plus, but not required.
- Previous Forklift expereicne a plus, but not required.
