Our Client is world-class supplier of power generation maintenance services, repairs, and parts in the utility and industrial industries, has an immediate opening for an Inventory Clerk in its Houston TX office. We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working, dependable, process-oriented individual looking to join a strong team environment. A desire to work for a fast-paced, medium-sized corporate organization is a necessity. In addition, you must have a "roll-up your sleeves” attitude.
The required skills for this position are:
• 1-2 years' experience in Inventory Control in a warehouse environment is preferred.
• Must have the ability to approach tasks logically and effectively, using practical judgment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a MUST.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. (English) (Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required)
• Excellent mathematic skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Be able to lift 50-75 pounds.
• Must be a team player and a people person who enjoys helping others.
• Ability to work in a fast-moving environment maintaining a positive attitude in stressful situations.
• Forklift Certification is a plus but not required.
• Support inventory management strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and control costs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
Essential Job Functions:
• Provide regular support and communication regarding material min/max levels and delivery status.
• Will be responsible for inspecting incoming parts to ensure they match the requested item ordered.
• Will be responsible for verifying quantities, putting away parts, and issuing material as needed.
• Conduct cycle counts as required by management and communicate with management regarding any discrepancies found.
• Will assist with pulling assigned job materials based on consumable list.
• Normal workdays are Monday through Friday but need to be available to work overtime as needed.
• When required, operate a forklift or pallet jack to move parts around the warehouse/ inventory area.
