Job Title: Lead Specialist – Commercial Loan Servicing
Location: Brooklyn, OH 44144 or Amherst, NY 14226
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET
One late shift per month: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Position Summary
The Lead Specialist plays a key role in supporting commercial clients through phone and written communications, processing monetary transactions, and maintaining loan records. This role contributes to the growth and servicing of the commercial loan portfolio while delivering exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders. The position requires attention to detail, adherence to procedures, and the ability to handle moderately complex issues with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities

Process commercial monetary transactions accurately and on time, including initial loan funding and dollar transaction forms.

Maintain and update loan systems (e.g., CLS) with ticklers and monetary adjustments.

Balance general ledger entries via the Automated Posting Application (APA) and resolve discrepancies in coordination with Accounting.

Execute requests via Quest, databases, and KeyView (e.g., fee waivers, payment reapplications, payment history statements).

Post DDA entries, issue cashier's checks, and process outgoing wires.

Monitor and take action on system reports to prevent customer impact and ensure data integrity.

Conduct research and communicate resolutions clearly and promptly.

Support process improvements and assist with special projects or tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

High School Diploma required; Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance preferred.

Minimum 2 years of general ledger or accounting experience.

Solid knowledge of commercial loan servicing and accounting principles.

Familiarity with loan servicing systems (CLS/CL3, LoanIQ) preferred.

Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal abilities.

Skilled in handling complex maintenance functions and navigating multiple systems.

Working knowledge of banking policies, procedures, and regulations.

Demonstrated ability to manage customer concerns with professionalism and care.
