The Project Surveyor is responsible for executing and managing surveying activities for a variety of land development and construction projects. This role includes overseeing field crews, collecting and analyzing survey data, preparing detailed maps and documents, and ensuring all work complies with project specifications and industry standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and capable of coordinating multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
The basic responsibilities of this position will include the following:
- Perform a variety of in-office and field tasks associated with land surveying and civil engineering
- Preparation of all types of surveys, including but not limited to the following:
- Plats of Survey
- Subdivision Plats
- CSM's
- ALTA/ACSM
- Legal Description & Exhibits
- Horizontal & Vertical Control Surveys o Aerial Mapping o GPS Surveying & Mapping o Construction Surveying & Mapping
- Provide guidance and direction to field crew(s) and technicians
- Prepare construction-related survey documents, flood elevation certificates, and conduct deed and survey research and reviews
- Perform field survey activities in accordance with standards set by state statutes and the American Congress of Surveying and Mapping.
- Manage the survey aspects of civil engineering projects
- High proficiency in CADD production and related engineering software
