Position Summary

The Engineer will apply intensive and diversified knowledge of design principles, practices, and implementation in complex systems and assignments. This role includes responsibilities such as generating design concepts, participating in design reviews, and conducting development and performance testing against specifications. The individual will also be involved in reliability testing and system interaction assessments, while assisting in manufacturing process development and root cause analysis for troubleshooting.


Essential Functions

  • Apply company concepts, policies, and procedures consistently, adhering to standard practices.

  • Work on projects with defined scope and goals under direction from senior engineering staff, management, or a project leader.

  • Participate in the definition of new components, products, or processes and help identify technical challenges.

  • Suggest improvements to work processes and contribute to innovation.

  • Design potentially patentable system components or processes.

  • Plan and execute assigned projects, utilizing a thorough technical and theoretical understanding.

  • Analyze data, evaluate results, and implement process or document improvements.

  • Apply advanced engineering knowledge to project work.

  • Execute experiments and contribute to experimental design; utilize Design of Experiments (DOE) methodology when appropriate.

  • Collaborate in technical team activities and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

  • Participate in project planning, process updates, and provide technical input.

  • Prepare and deliver presentations on project results to internal or cross-functional teams.

  • Monitor quality and promote a Quality First Time mindset in all deliverables.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong mechanical problem-solving skills.

  • Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical and small-scale fluidic/pneumatic systems.

  • Proficient in root cause analysis and troubleshooting.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Self-directed with the ability to work autonomously and own investigative tasks.

  • Experience working on cross-functional teams and solving multi-disciplinary technical problems.

  • Excellent design skills with the ability to develop simple, low-impact solutions to existing systems.

  • Demonstrates engineering creativity, collaboration, and independent thinking.

  • Solid understanding of core engineering principles and concepts.


Education & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a directly related engineering discipline.

  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of related experience in engineering roles.
