Nesco Resource has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Operations Supervisor in the Assembly Department for a Packaging Client in Madison Heights, MI. This is a Direct Hire role. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply!
Shift: 1st Shift, 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday with possible OT on Weekends
Pay Rate: $25/hr-35/hr, based on level of experience
Job Duties:
- Oversee production team members within Assembly Department
- Work collaboratively with the team to meet production goals to ensure efficient workflow
- Develop/implement creative techniques to improve efficiency and productivity
- Ensure quality standards are met and maintained throughout production
- Monitor inbound/outbound shipments for inventory management
- Conduct inventory planning to manage stock efficiently and balance cost
- Perform basic quality checks on inbound shipments/parts
- Input data into computer systems using Excel, Word, Email, etc
- Assist with assembling metal racks or plastic containers by installing textiles/cloth inserts for packaging of automotive parts per design/ customer specifications
- Review of outbound orders to ensure quality measures are met
- Use of power and hand tools including: industrial stapler, drill, saw, hammer, etc. to assemble
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure precision and quality.
- Work with and understand the metric system for measurements and material specifications
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree is a plus!
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Manufacturing Supervisor role, required
- Computer literacy, required
- Experience with Excel, Word, email, required
- Inventory Management, preferred
- Ability to read/interpret blueprints
- Ability to utilize various hand/ measuring tools, required
- Basic Math/metric system skills, required
