Furnace Operator
$17.00 – $18.00 per hour
3rd Shift | 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Furnace Operator to join our manufacturing team on 3rd shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating the furnace line, performing maintenance, monitoring parts during processing, and ensuring production runs smoothly and safely.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up furnace line based on Work Orders and operating instructions

Maintain proper levels of water and salt in all tanks

Complete all required maintenance tasks prior to startup

Remove scrap and foreign material from tanks and catch points

Perform scheduled maintenance on chutes, muffles, and pans

Accurately complete and maintain Furnace Log Book and other documentation

Conduct in-process inspections and monitor parts for distortion or contamination

Operate equipment safely and report any irregularities to Supervisor

Keep processed and unprocessed parts organized and separate

Prepare parts for QC inspection and repack/move finished parts to staging area

Clean spills promptly and maintain a clean, safe work area

Report any unsafe conditions immediately
Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required

Prior experience in a manufacturing or furnace operation role preferred

Ability to follow safety guidelines and detailed instructions

Good attention to detail and strong work ethic

Comfortable working overnight hours and performing physical tasks
