Schedule is 23:00-0700 but will require some overtime and other shift coverage.
Training will be a combination of training on day shift and will then move to evening shift and finally to the night shift.
Purpose of the Position:
Provides first and second level troubleshooting of robots, conveyors and ASRS equipment and process issues. Works hands-on with the manufacturing equipment and activities. Works closely with shift technicians and Planning organization for direct fulfillment of orders as well as inventory consolidation activities. Uses judgement, experience and initiative to resolve problems and make recommendations.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
• First point of contact to provide comprehensive electrical/controls/mechanical equipment troubleshooting of production issues in the shipping department
• Simultaneously managing and troubleshooting multiple issues using sound technical principles to drive resolution and the ability to prioritize issues based on the overall plant's needs
• Stay up to date with training from Engineering and technical SME (Subject Matter Experts) areas on new processes/equipment and/or procedural changes.
• Perform all functions to fulfill production orders (both external and internal) as well as maintain space in inventory through the consolidation process
• Check dropped trailers to ensure safety chocks and trailer stabilizers are engaged
• Cover shift technician vacations as needed
Experience:
• Experienced in troubleshooting and repair of electrical and pneumatic controls.
• Experienced in troubleshooting and repair of simple to complex mechanical equipment
• Familiarity with conveyor systems
• Familiarity with PLC fundamentals as well as to work through logic for troubleshooting
• Computer literate and understands Microsoft windows to locate files, edit, save, transfer, etc

• Sound decision making and prioritization skills; can handle multiple tasks as necessary
• Strong people skills
• Good process and equipment troubleshooting skills
• Mechanically and electrically inclined (aptitude for both)
• PC proficient (Excel, Word, SharePoint, passdown)
• Controlled response in emergency situations
Desired skills
• Knowledge in Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS)
• Familiar with Peoplesoft or SAP
• Basic understanding of PLC and/or Equipment automation
• Forklift certified
Soft skills
• Self-starter/self directed. Must be willing to work independently.
• Complies with all policies and procedures of the plant
• Carries out assignments to completion

• Occasional OT with shift coverage
• Periodic weekend coverage
